Glen Hansard

Le musicien irlandais Glen Hansard est un touche-à-tout. Il fait de la musique pour son projet solo, forme le duo folk The Swell Season avec Markéta Irglová, avec laquelle il a également écrit la bande originale du film "Once" (dans lequel il joue son propre rôle de busker), et continue à jouer du rock avec The Frames.

Ces dernières années, il s'est surtout consacré à sa carrière solo, effectuant des tournées mondiales presque sans interruption. Il a écrit son dernier album 'This Wild Willing' (2019) à Paris, pour faire une pause dans son éternel voyage. Il s'agit d'un disque ambitieux avec une influence majeure des frères iraniens Khoshravesh, ainsi que des influences du rock psychédélique et du folk.

Hansard a dû annuler sa tournée il y a quelque temps pour des raisons familiales, mais il est revenu à l'automne avec le single "Take Heart", un hommage au courage de l'Ukraine.

Glen Hansard garantit toujours des chansons qui viennent directement de la dureté, enveloppées dans sa voix distinctive qui réconforte depuis des décennies.

Il se produira au Cirque Royal le vendredi 3 novembre. La vente des tickets débutera le vendredi 26 mai à 11 heures.
