Over

The Damned kunnen bestempeld als een voorloper van het Punk/Gothic rock genre. Ze zijn al zeker één van de allereerste bands dat live aan de bak kwam. En vormden zodus het pad van nogal wat bands ! Samen met de Sex Pistols en The Clash waren zij de bakermat van de punk beweging in de UK. Ze worden dan toch terecht bestempeld als 'The Band of Firsts'. Eersten op verschillende vlakken waaronder ook de eerste groep dat splitte om daarna succesvol terug te komen op de scene ! Iconen die men moet gezien hebben, ook al is men niet 100% van het genre - het zijn beklijvende artiesten !
