About Rae Sremmurd

Rae Sremmurd is an American hip hop duo, composed of two brothers Swae Lee and Slim Jimmy from Tupelo, Mississippi.
Born in California, they later moved to Tupelo at an early age. Before they became Rae Sremmurd, they were in a trio called "Dem Outta St8 Boyz" which uploaded videos and songs to social media like YouTube and Reverbnation, looking for recognition. First noticed by producer P-Nasty, they started releasing their first singles "I Dip" and "We". Unfornatunately, neither of them received much attention.
On January, 1 2014, Rae Sremmurd signed with Ear Drummers Entertainment. Five months later, the two brothers released the single "No Flex Zone" which gained media attention after an official remix was done by Nicki Minaj and Pusha T.
The single later became popular in the US Charts, climbing to #36 on Billboard Hot 100. On September 17, 2014 they released their second single entitled "No Type" which rose to #16 on Billboard Hot 100. Other hit singles "Up Like Trump" and "Throw Sum Mo" (featuring Nicki Minaj & Young Thug) then followed the same year.

"Rae Sremmurd" is their home label, EarDrummers, spelled backwards.
