It was March 2019 and in his second single, “Un cuento”, Morad unintentionally launched what has ended up being a self-fulfilling prophecy. In times of trained algorithms, in times of invasive marketing campaigns, the triumph of this young talent from L'Hospitalet de Llobregat is the triumph of truth. The trick to his elastic flow with which he jumps from drill to trap and classic rap to UK garage is that there is no trick.

Without a record label behind, without being played on the radio, in a self-managed and organic way, Morad has been able to infiltrate the charts as one of the most listened to artists in the country, amassing over 100 million views in 2020 with hymns such as “Motorola”, “Normal” or “Yo no voy”. In 2021 he again left all predictions short with the gold records of "Cómo están?", "Soñar", “Pelele” and "Cuando ella sale", increasing his monthly listeners to 6.7M on Spotify, and along his collaborations with Puerto Rican stars Ozuna and Eladio Carrión, the italians Capo Plaza and Baby Gang, the british Central Cee on “Eurovision”, alongside more artists, or the french Lacrim, Rim'K, Naps and Jul, with who he would collaborate in a few more tunes.

This rising international projection also explains the MDLR Euro Tour that took him to conquer 14 European cities in 8 different countries in 2022, the year in which he also made history due to the impact of “Pelele'' and his BZRP session, the two viral hits that have made him the first spanish artist to occupy the first two positions on Spotify Spain for several following days. Although, beyond the numbers, the real value of Morad is to have positioned itself as the relief that the spanish urban scene needed without losing the link with its roots along the way. A whole generation has connected instantly with each of his releases because Morad and his audience share codes and recognize each other as equals. New times like the ones we live in demand a new type of star like Morad.

His much awaited album “Reisertado” saw the light in 2023, marking the fourth best spanish debut in Spotify history and debuting global number 2 on the platform. For this second studio album, Morad collaborated with Ninho, Jul, Nicki Nicole, Eladio Carrión, ElGrandeToto, RVFV, Beny Jr, and trusted once again in SHB, Voluptyk, Nuviala, Scar, Tr.Fact and Trobi as producers. The 19 tracks album hit 5 millions listenings in its first 24h only on Spotify, and made it to be #21 Top Albums France, #5 Top Albums Switzerland, #33 Top Albums The Netherlands, #86 Top Albums Italy and #2 Top Albums in Spain.

In 2023, Morad completed his second European tour performing at sold out venues in cities such as Lisbon (3800 people), Cologne (4,000 people), Zurich (3,500 people), and Milan (3,300 people) and selling out the Wizink Center in Madrid twice alongside his friend and colleague Dellafuente at the Red Bull SoundClash, in front of 24,000 spectators.

On the horizon: following a summer of headlining select festivals, MORAD is set to embark on his first-ever arena tour in Spain with four exclusive dates—his only solo shows until 2025.

These performances will lead into his third and largest European tour to date, including a stop in Belgium on February 7th 2025 at the ING Arena in Brussels!
