About

Marti Pellow, The Voice of Wet Wet Wet

Marti's career began as a teenager when he formed the band Wet Wet Wet with his school friends. From there, he became a platinum-selling solo artist and one of the most beloved performers in the UK. Marti has always been committed to his craft, and his dedication to self-belief and pushing boundaries has seen him achieve greater success with every passing year.

As a member of Wet Wet Wet, Marti insisted on going to Memphis, Tennessee, to work with legendary R&B and soul producer Willie Mitchell, the man who’d produced Al Green, Ike & Tina Turner, Ann Peebles and Otis Reading. This decision paid off in a big way, as the band went on to achieve more success than just about any other band at that time. Their melodic pop sound and Pellow's distinctive voice helped Wet Wet Wet become one of the most successful bands of their era, achieving numerous top-charting singles and albums.

Marti's years with Wet Wet Wet greatly developed his songwriting, production and arranging skills, and gave him the confidence and style that he is famous for today. His solo career has been equally impressive as his achievements with Wet Wet Wet, with a diverse range of well-received albums (his first solo album ‘Smile’ achieved platinum) and numerous sold-out tours. In addition to his success as a singer-songwriter, Marti Pellow has also made a significant mark in the world of musical theater and starred in several high-profile West End productions, including ‘Chicago,’, ‘The Witches of Eastwick,’ ‘Jekyll & Hyde,’ and ‘Blood Brothers,’ establishing him as one of the great leading men in the entertainment world today.

Today, Marti still continues to be dedicated to his song writing, to creating new music, still hitting the road and performing to thousands, still recording and producing top ten records, still the utterly dedicated singer songwriter following his heart.
